The Hammersley
Named after the iconic dragon fountain across from Cauldon Campus in Cauldon Park, The Hammersley is an award-winning, AA-recognised training restaurant run by our talented catering students. Located in the Lifestyle Building, it offers a fresh and exciting dining experience with up to five delicious courses, all at unbeatable prices.
With full table service and a warm welcome for everyone, from solo diners to private parties, it’s the perfect place to enjoy quality food while supporting the next generation of hospitality professionals.

It’s more than just a restaurant
The Hammersley is where careers begin. This isn’t just a place to eat, it’s a real-world training ground. Fully operated by students under expert supervision, the restaurant gives them hands-on experience in every aspect of the industry, from the kitchen to the front of house. Here, they gain the essential skills, confidence, and leadership ability they’ll need to thrive in their future careers.

Culinary excellence
Get ready for an experience that’s as creative as it is delicious. Our student chefs bring passion and precision to every plate, serving up dishes that blend traditional favourites with modern flair. The menu changes regularly, showcasing the best seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and offering a range of options from classic comfort food to fine dining. Every visit brings something new and unforgettable.

Dining experience
Step into a space that celebrates both the past and the present. The Hammersley’s stylish interior is inspired by Stoke-on-Trent’s pottery heritage, blending contemporary design with historical touches. Whether you’re planning a romantic night out, a group celebration, or a casual lunch, our welcoming atmosphere makes every meal feel special.

Community and collaboration
We’re all about learning, sharing, and growing together. The Hammersley is a hub for collaboration, where students meet professionals, ideas are exchanged, and creativity flourishes. From guest chef events and live workshops to themed evenings, we’re always creating opportunities for students to learn from the best and for guests to be part of something inspiring.
