Read about Denise’s journey
Denise came to the College looking to acquire some highly desirable qualifications in a new field after working in the arts sector for 21 years. Before studying at the College, she had no formal qualifications in Social Care.
Now, Denise has qualifications in Challenging Behaviours; Working with People with Mental Health Needs; and Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care, which have formed the basis of a new and exciting career path. Soon after, Denise was offered a job with the NHS as an activities worker at Harplands Hospital, working on the dementia ward.
“I really enjoyed all the online courses I’ve done with the College. I’m certain all the qualifications I’ve gained has helped me land the job at Harplands Hospital!”
