We work closely with employers, services providers, accrediting bodies and Universities, to equip you with the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to be a success in your chosen area. 

We offer Higher National Certificates (HNCs), Foundation degrees, Higher Technical Qualifications, Foundation Years and Access to Higher Education Diplomas across a range of course areas. You can apply directly through UCAS or, if you’re already a student, your tutor can help you. Many of our courses are awarded by Staffordshire University with all the benefits of University membership, including learning resources and social facilities. You may not realise that you can also access various student funding schemes – check UCAS’s information and updates on fees and finances from the College here.

Samantha Adams, former Stoke on Trent College student

After four years of studying at Stoke on Trent College completing two Diplomas in Support Teaching and Learning, followed by a Foundation Degree in Education, Samantha Adams is now well on her way to achieving a BA Hons!

Samantha, 40, began her learner journey with SOTC back in 2018 after dreaming of a job educating and inspiring young people. Sam’s story demonstrates that it’s never too late to aspire to a new career and once she completes her degree at Staffordshire University, she’ll be a fully qualified educator ready to take her first job in education.
