Creative Media Production & Technology (eSports) Level 3
This course is for learners who hold a strong interest in competing in gaming tournaments and wish to develop their career in the eSports industry.
This course will provide learners with the necessary skills on how to healthily compete in tournaments, setting up an esports tournament whilst considering legal and ethical issues within the industry.
You will study topics including eSports industry knowledge, eSports coaching, live-streamed broadcasting and much more!
Games & eSports Level 2
Video and mobile gaming is the fastest growing creative industry worldwide.
This Level 2 course is designed for students who wish to focus their learning and career development within the world of Esports and who are looking for an engaging and stimulating qualification preparing you for a successful performance in working life in this area.
You will study topics such as designing an eSports game, establishing an eSports organisation, planning an eSports event and much more!
Creative Practice (Ceramics) Level 3
This course is designed to inspire and develop skills in your ceramic practice at an advanced level.
This course encourages you to be experimental and think in different ways about ceramics, not just from a materials perspective, but also how the changing world around us impacts how we make and respond to our creative practice. Your will develop skills in hand-building, wheel throwing, surface decoration and more.
Property Maintenance Level 2
This programme will help broaden your understanding of the whole property maintenance industry.
You will learn how to carry out basic property maintenance and repairs through a series of carpentry, electrical, plumbing and decorating skills to support a range of careers in property maintenance such as caretaker, maintenance manager or property engineer.
Planning, Design & Construction Level 2
On this course you will learn a combination of traditional trade skills combined with up-to-date methods, including the hands-on use of technology such as drones – mapping and condition surveying, thermal imaging – building heat loss and ground surveying equipment.
You will look at the fundamental skills of project management including the tools to help with budgeting and controlling progress of projects.
Progression is to the Level 3 Construction and the Built Environment course where more aspects of the technical construction trades will be studied in detail.
Nail Technology Level 2
If you’re interested in nails and want an exciting career in the beauty industry this course will give you the skills and knowledge you need to become a qualified nail technician.
You will learn a broad range of skills including gel nail enhancements, how to promote nail products and services, client care and communication and health and safety in the salon – all the skills you need for a successful career in the industry.
Professional Confectionery Level 3
This qualification is for you if you want to work as a chef in the pastry section of a professional kitchen.
This course will help you develop advanced skills and techniques to produce patisserie products, for example fine desserts and pastries.
Topics may include bread making, chocolate making, cake decorating and much more.
Professional Patisserie & Confectionery Level 2
This course is a great introduction into the industry and will help you develop the basic skills and techniques needed to produce a variety of items.
This course will teach you specialist pastry, cake and confectionery techniques with an emphasis on practical learning for those who want to specialise in this skilful, creative and demanding area of cookery.
Business & Law Level 3
This course is suitable for anyone interested in a career in business and/or law.
You will study a mix of specialist topics such as marketing, criminal law, business and customer service, the legal system and much more to develop your skills and knowledge to enable you to progress onto Higher Education, employment or further training.
Whatever your long term goals may be, this course will equip you with the fundamental skills that underpin law and business across a range of sectors.
Sport, Fitness & Personal Training Level 3
This course focuses on the application of scientific principles of testing and training within sports performance and health. Individual group and project type experiments are carried out with the latest equipment from our sports science laboratory.
This course is closely aligned with industry and we work with local and national organisations within the fitness industry as well as working with professional clubs, such as Stoke City Football Club (men’s and women’s team).
On completion of the course, learners will be able to go straight into employment as a Personal Trainer, could start their own Business or could go into Higher Education to study University Courses.
