Level 2 Certificate in Cleaning Principles (NCFE)

Course Summary

These qualifications aim to:
Provide learners with a range of underpinning knowledge in both generic and specialist cleaning principles
Meet the needs of learners who work or want to work in the cleaning sector.
These qualifications can act as a knowledge-based certificate within the cleaning apprenticeship framework.
The objective of these qualifications is to help learners develop their knowledge and understanding of the skills required for working in the cleaning sector.

Unit 1 – Dealing with routine and non-routine waste
In this unit learners will understand how to handle, deal with and transfer routine and non-routine waste

Unit 2 – Health and safety for the cleaning and support services industry
In this unit learners will gain an understanding of health and safety legislation and how to work safely

Unit 3 – Working with customers and others in the cleaning and support services industry

This unit is about communicating politely and effectively with customers and working with others when performing cleaning tasks
Unit 9 – Cleaning of interiors and washrooms
This unit requires learners to be able to work efficiently, carry out the necessary cleaning checks including assessing the areas to be cleaned and selecting the most suitable tools and equipment for the tasks

Entry Requirements

* You must be aged 19+
* You must live in England (not available to people living in Ireland, Scotland or Wales)
* You must have been an EU resident for at least 3 years
* No qualifications are necessary for you to start the course.
All learners are subject to an eligibility check before you can start the course. You may be required to forward information to us about your current employment or income/benefit status to allow you to get started.

How Is It Taught

As you work through the learning materials you will have the support of a knowledgeable assessor/tutor who will give you support, advice and guidance on the course content as well as providing robust feedback on the work you complete. Upon successful completion of the course you will be awarded the NCFE Level 2 Certificate.

What Could I do Next

After completing a distance learning qualification and receiving confirmation from your assessor that the course has been achieved, you are able to enrol on another distance learning qualification.

What Else Do I Need To Know

The assessments are divided into units and submission of answers is per unit. Support is available from your assessor throughout the course and after the completion of each unit when the assessor will assess the answers provided and provide written feedback.
