Course Summary

Learn real welding skills in a friendly, hands on course. Build confidence, use equipment safely, and get ready for work in construction, fabrication, vehicle repair or engineering.

Learners will be introduced to manual metal arc (MMA) welding techniques, including health and safety in a workshop environment, equipment set-up, electrode selection, joint preparation and basic weld positions. The programme covers practical welding practice, inspection of weld quality, fault identification and safe working procedures, with a focus on manufacturing related applications.

Entry Requirements

You will not require previous knowledge in the subject. You must have a good level of English including reading, writing, speaking and listening. You will need a willingness to learn and the intention to move into employment.
