Developing Skills for Employment – Supported Internship

Course Summary

The course is designed to support learners aged 16-25 with an Education, Health and Care Plan into the work place. You will continue to develop maths and English skills on site at our Cauldon Campus, further develop your employability skills such as writing a CV, support when attending interviews, as well as support in the work place to help you take the next steps into employment.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements. We ask that you are committed to achieving the outcomes and milestones within your EHC Plan, as well as a firm commitment to wanting to move into employment.

How Is It Assessed

As the programme is designed to meet your individual needs you will work with your Job Coach to set targets around skills that you need to develop in order to help you to progress into employment. You will continue to work towards Stepping Stone English and Maths Awards.

How Is It Taught

Classroom based delivery, onsite work experience at a local employer premises. Range of enterprise activities.
