How Is It Taught
Classes last up to 2.5 hours of various length, depending on your level and what you want to achieve. You will be working in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere with others of similar abilities in a supportive environment. Content is a mixture of group activities, discussions and individual study is used to help everybody towards their own targets. Learning is on paper, computer and often includes puzzles and games to problem solving skills around the sunject.
What Could I do Next
Your tutor will talk with you regularly during the course about how you’re getting on and about moving on to the next stage. You could move onto the next level of functional skills English and then onto a GCSE course. You will also be introduced to other services the college has that could help - including Careers and Job Bank. This means that you can be ready to make the most of new opportunities. You might want to brush up on your maths skills as well - and we can help you with a course on that too!
