Course Summary

Stride is a 9-week course designed to support learners who are not currently in education, employment or training onto positive pathways for future development. This course is designed to meet your individual needs if you require support to progress. You will work towards achieving targets and milestones to support your personal development towards progression through course taster activities, life skills and employability. The course will give you the confidence and skills to progress onto mainstream vocational programmes.

This course is aimed to support anyone not in education, employment or training currently aged 16-24.

How Is It Assessed

1-1 review with your personal tutor to discuss development of skills to support your progression.

How Is It Taught

The programme is built on 4 pillars which include enrichment taster activities around various technical, trade-based courses at the Burslem Campus, life skills, employability and ongoing continuous support. The course will also embed functional skill development around English, Maths, Digital and Business.

What Could I do Next

Vocational programmes within the curriculum areas of the college, or you may wish to progress to the Routes to Employment pathway within Foundation Studies.
