The Level 2 Wood Product Manufacturing Operative Apprenticeship prepares individuals to work in the wood manufacturing industry. It focuses on creating high-quality wood products, such as furniture, doors, windows, and building materials, while adhering to health and safety, environmental, and quality standards. You need to ensure that you have use of a CNC machine and also are exposed to paint spraying and glazing.

Entry Requirements

GCSE Grade 3 or above in English or Maths, or equivalent qualifications.

How Is It Assessed

The End Point Assessment for this apprenticeship consists of a workplace observation, interview underpinned by a portfolio of evidence and a multiple choice test.

How Is It Taught

During the practical period, you will attend college one day a week and for the remaining part of your contracted hours, will be in the workplace building on your knowledge, skills and behaviours.
