Stoke on Trent College students celebrate outstanding Level 3 results as high grades soar
Stoke on Trent College students are celebrating today after achieving a fantastic set of Level 3 results, with strong pass rates, significant increases in high grades and the College’s strongest T Level results to date.
The results are a testament to the hard work and determination of students, with achievement for 16–18-year-olds currently at 89.0%, up from 86.0% last year.
There is particular excitement around this year’s T Level results, with more students than ever before achieving their T Level qualifications at Stoke on Trent College.
Four T Level pathways recorded a 100% pass rate – Software Coding, Early Years Education & Childcare, Supporting Adult Nursing and Electrotechnical Engineering. Students studying Supporting the Midwifery Team also achieved an outstanding 100% high-grade pass rate, with all students achieving a Merit or Distinction.
The success continues across the College’s wider Level 3 offer.
Students on Access to HE courses have achieved a 100% pass rate for the second year running, while students studying Level 3 Extended Diplomas achieved a 100% pass rate in Art & Design, Graphics & Photography, Games Art & Animation and Games Programming.
There was also a 100% pass rate for both 16–18 and adult students completing the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Entry to Uniformed Services.
BTEC students have also been celebrating, with Year 2 students achieving an impressive 97% overall pass rate. Engineering, Law, Business, Sports Coaching & Development and Science all achieved 100% pass rates.
And it’s not just pass rates that are cause for celebration. High grades have risen significantly across several BTEC subjects, with Science increasing to 86%, Engineering to 75% and Law to 63%.
To mark their achievements, students celebrated at a special event at Stoke on Trent College’s Cauldon Campus, surrounded by friends, family and the staff who have supported them throughout their studies. University representatives, including those from Keele University and the University of Staffordshire, were also on hand to help students explore their next steps.
