Employee Assistance Programme
All employees have access to our comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme via Health Assured. This free, confidential service offers a variety of support networks including counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, financial advice, tax information, advice on civil disputes, health and wellbeing guidance and much more! This can also be used by employees’ immediate family members.
Occupational Health Support
We are proud to work with local Occupational Health provider Phoenix who deliver an exceptional service to support all employees as part of our overall Health and Wellbeing strategy. Phoenix Occupational Health have a dedicated and established team of highly qualified Nurses, advisers and physicians, providing excellent support, advice and guidance.
Enhanced Leave Policies
At Stoke on Trent College, we recognise the importance in work-life balance. Access to Sports Academy Gym
Stay in shape in our friendly, supportive, on-campus Sports Academy. At our Cauldon Campus, we have a modern, spacious gym which can be accessed by all of our employees. Employees pay an initial £5 joining fee and then have unlimited access to the gym. Employees also the option to access heavily discounted Personal Trainer sessions held in our Sports Academy Gym.
College Accolades Event

Free, on-site parking
At both our Cauldon and Burslem campuses, we offer free, on-site parking for all staff and visitors.
Free Breakfasts
Between 8am and 8:45am, all employees at Stoke-on-Trent College are able to access a delicious free breakfast every morning. This include hot breakfasts and continental options, along with a hot or cold drink.
Range of ongoing CPD Opportunities
Every year, Stoke-on-Trent College schedules dedicated CPD days, to enable College employees to focus solely on their professional development. CPD days can focus on professional development, whether this be led by our Quality team for our academic staff, departmental development for our support teams or College-wide training for health and wellbeing.

The College provides its staff the opportunity to complete Distance Learning Courses for free as part on their ongoing personal and professional development. Health and Wellbeing Initiatives
Our comprehensive and detailed Health and Wellbeing strategy aims to promote and support our team’s wellness. 2023 and 2024 saw health and wellbeing focuses such as the menopause, men’s mental health and work-life balance. Dedicated development times for all our team were scheduled with Dr. Anna James from March Training to support, inform and educate our staff team.
Wellbeing Day/ Time
In recognition of our fantastic team’s hard work and dedication and in line with our comprehensive Health and Wellbeing Strategy, in 2024/25 academic year, all staff were awarded two non-contractual Wellbeing Days to take in addition to their annual leave entitlement. This time is for employees to take to dedicate to unwinding and prioritising their health and wellbeing.

Modern Campus Facilities
Our College has fantastic, state-of-the-art facilities at both our campuses, including our Sports Academy Gym, fully functioning Hammersley restaurant, hospitality and catering facilities (including a recently opened Pastry Kitchen), our Construction Skills Hub and Advanced Construction Centre.
